NYPD arrest demonstrators who were part of a Black Lives Matter rally on Thurs. June 4 around 10 p.m. for violating the New York City 8 p.m. curfew. The arrests took place near East 59th Street and 5th Avenue in Manhattan, New York City. While the police were making arrests, they told the media to move back.
The curfew began as a way to deter looting and rioting at night following protests in the city after the death of George Floyd.
